Meeting the Needs of the Whole Child Through Makerspaces

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

What do leaders need to know to create and implement an innovative, engaging makerspace program? In our panel presentation, you will receive nuts and bolts practical aspects as well as the broader vision of imagining, planning, creating and managing a cutting-edge makerspace program for your school community, as well as the "why" behind makerspace creation that explores the benefits of these unique learning zones. Strategies from a leadership perspective along with anecdotal examples will help participants create an action plan and design activities which meet the needs of the whole child, align with Standards and encourage student joy and curiosity through deep inquiry, hands on learning, sharing and reflection.
